Rev. Kirk T. Houston, Jr., Executive Pastor

Reverend  Kirk T. Houston, Jr., a fourth-generation Minister of the Gospel, was licensed to preach the Good News on March 26, 2006, and ordained on September 8, 2012, at Gethsemane Community Fellowship Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA. Under the tutelage of his parents, Reverend Dr. and Mrs. Kirk T. Houston, Sr., God began to develop the gifts and talents of Reverend Houston. Starting at a tender age, he has served his church and the surrounding Hampton Roads community as a musician, mentor, ministry leader, preacher, and teacher.

Possessing a strong passion for people, Reverend Houston earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA in May 2006. During his tenure at Norfolk State, he was active in Campus Ministries, Student Government, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. After completing his undergraduate studies, Reverend Houston went on to prepare himself for ministry at the Palmer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, where he obtained his Master of Divinity degree.

Reverend Houston is the proud father of his two sons, Kirk T. Houston, III and Marc Francis Houston. Reverend Houston currently serves as Executive Pastor at Gethsemane. He is excited about the future that God has in store for his life. Therefore, daily, he strives to fulfill God’s purpose, which is to inform, instruct, and inspire the children of God to live out the will of God!
